Listening. Understanding. Transforming.
I believe that everyone can heal, and my goal is to facilitate healing for clients through the therapeutic process. I employ an eclectic approach with a strong foundation in Humanistic psychology and Client-centered therapy: to heal and thrive, people need an environment that provides them with empathy, genuineness, acceptance, being seen with unconditional positive regard, and being listened to and understood. In treatment, I employ trauma-informed approaches that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic approaches, and Mindfulness, and I use play, art and other forms of creative techniques to help clients connect with and express their thoughts, feelings and needs.
